The set contains 1,000 color-coded pieces, including rods of different lengths and a variety of connector pieces. It also comes with an illustrated, step-by-step instruction booklet for building the Ferris wheel, a towering Boom Ride, and a spinning Swing Ride. Although it requires patience and attention to detail, the set offers a fun way for kids to develop their hand-eye coordination and provides a good exercise in following directions. An included battery-powered motor can be tethered to the different rides to make them turn and swing. This multipiece Ferris wheel set can be combined with other K'NEX building systems to create original models and designs. Two AA batteries are required.
